The primary aim of the International Journal of Innovative Computing, Information and Control (IJICIC) is to publish high-quality papers of new developments and trends, novel techniques and approaches, innovative methodologies and technologies on the theory and applications of intelligent systems, information and control. The IJICIC is a peer-reviewed English language journal and is published bimonthly. A submission to IJICIC will be assigned to an associate editor, and reviewed by at least two referees.
The scope of the IJICIC is in the broad areas of intelligent systems, information and control, includes but not limited to:
Intelligent Systems and Innovative Computing
Artificial intelligence and expert systems, approximate reasoning, fuzzy systems and rough sets, fuzzy optimization and decision making, evolutionary computation, intelligent information systems, image and speech signal processing, human-machine learning, neural networks, knowledge discovery, data mining, clustering and data analysis, decision support systems, intelligent fault detection and identification, knowledge-based systems, hybrid intelligent systems, soft computing
Information and Control
Information theory and applications, optimal, adaptive, predictive, robust, fuzzy and reliable control and filtering on linear and nonlinear systems, stochastic systems, hybrid systems, supervisory systems, guidance and navigation systems, real-time systems, discrete event systems, signal and image processing, system identification, optimization techniques, robustness analysis, learning systems, fault detection, robotics and motion control, manufacturing systems, power systems, networked control systems, environmental and bio-engineering, complex and large scale systems, circuit and systems, bioinformatics, control education, transportation systems
The International Journal of Innovative Computing, Information and Control (IJICIC) is welcoming contributions related with the journal’s scope. In general, decisions will be made after peer-review, within 3 months of receipt. Accepted articles will generally be published within 9 months thereafter.
IJICIC considers two types of submissions:
Full Papers – Detailed discussion involving new research, applications or developments (up to 20 printed pages, or approved by Editor-in-Chief otherwise);
Short Papers – Brief presentations of new technical concepts and developments (up to 8 printed pages, or approved by Editor-in-Chief otherwise).
Authors have the full responsibility to ensure that manuscripts submitted to IJICIC have not been published, have not been copyrighted, and will not be submitted or published elsewhere in English or any other language. It is authors’ responsibility to provide their correct contact information (affiliations and emails), and the journal office takes no responsibility to verify the information. If authors provide false contact information, then their submissions will be rejected, and their published papers will be retracted as soon as it becomes clear. The author(s) agrees that the copyright (copyright-form) for the article will be transferred to the publisher upon acceptance. The Editors reserve the right to decline the submitted manuscript without review, if the works reported are not sufficiently novel or important to merit publication in the journal, or of limited interest to the target audience. The Editor seeks advice from experts in the appropriate field. All manuscripts are refereed by a minimum of two reviewers, or three in case of inconsistent recommendations. The final decision of acceptance will be made by Executive Editor or, in case of conflict, by the Editor-in-Chief.
Manuscripts should be typewritten in English on one side only with wide margins on high quality paper using single spacing throughout. Each page of the manuscript should be numbered. The front page should contain the article title, author’s name and affiliation, abstract and keywords. The abstract should not exceed 200 words and should be intelligible to general readers without recourse to the main text. A list of notation should be avoided, but new notation and departures from standard use should be explained in text.
Articles should, in general, begin with an introduction which adequately covers the literature and scope of the paper. Each section in the paper should be numbered. Each article should have, in general, a conclusion or discussion section. Any appendices should follow the Reference section. Authors must publish the biography (including the passport-style photo with blue background) together with the paper, with information like degree, past and present positions, research interests, academic activities and achievement. Author biography appears in the end of the paper heading "Author Biography".
Proper figure preparation is essential for optimum reproduction of line drawing and photograph. Figures and Tables should be placed as part of the text and should be numbered.
References should be listed at the end of the main text. All in-text citations (references) should be listed in order, that is, [1], [3,4], [6-9], etc. In the References, each citation should be written in the order of appearance in the text. The normal form of listed references is author's initials, surname; article title; journal name (abbreviated in accordance with the World List of Scientific Periodicals, 4th edn); volume number; issue number; page numbers; year.
After a manuscript has been accepted for publication, the author (or the author’s institution or company) will be approached with a kind request to pay a reasonable charge to cover part of the cost of publication. This is widely used throughout the scientific publishing community, and is widely accepted. The charge amount for each accepted article is JPY120,000 (within 12 pages) and excess page fee is JPY10,000 per extra page, which will take effect from January 1, 2024. The author will receive a free copy of the journal containing his/her paper after the page charge is honored. Detailed instructions for the payments will accompany the Acceptance Notice or the proofs. Further offprint can be ordered at extra cost at the proof stage.
Acceptance of LaTex by the IJICIC
If accepted papers are written by LaTex, the authors will be asked to provide the LaTex source files of the paper. In preparing the paper, please use the IJICIC style files for submission (LaTex: ijicic.cls, ijicic-sample; PDF: ijicic-sample), and ensure that all the macros used to write your paper accompany the manuscript. If you have any questions about the use of this file in preparing your paper, please contact the editorial office. Please follow all the usual instructions to authors as detailed above. It is very important to follow the correct referencing system.
